Marketing Specialist | Cross-Border E-commerce Logistics |Spanish&English speaking | International Startup in Mexico

For our client International logistics group (brand operating in Europe and Asia) launching its first LATAM branch in Mexico we are searching the first marketing specialist hire in Mexico who can own market mapping, run rapid growth experiments, and turn qualified leads into first-shipment conversions..

Why this role matters

You’ll be the first marketing hire in Mexico, partnering tightly with an experienced HQ team in Europe to build the local go-to-market engine from zero: map the SMB importer ecosystem, test channels fast, generate qualified demand, and feed product/ops with Mexico-specific insights. Expect high autonomy, rapid experimentation, and real ownership.

What will help you succeed:

  1. Exposure to logistics/e-commerce/import processes.
  2. 3+ years in customer support / client operations for B2B or tech-enabled services in Mexico; startup or market-launch experience is a plus.
  3. Proven commercial exposure: inside sales or sales-adjacent experience (qualifying inbound leads, discovery, proposals/quotes, structured follow-ups) with measurable conversion outcomes.
  4. Proven phone/WhatsApp support with Spanish-speaking SMEs; confident handling high-intent inbound and consultative onboarding.
  5. Hands-on with CRM (HubSpot/Zoho/Pipedrive or similar), ticketing, and IP-telephony; comfortable creating SOPs and reporting.
  6. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) preferred.
  7. English language proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

What will help you succeed:

Experience & tools

  1. Familiarity with e-commerce/marketplaces/import flows – understands marketplace-seller acquisition and the import journey (from inquiry to first shipment), collaborates with Ops to remove friction, and converts buyer/competitor insights into offers and campaigns.
  2. 3–5 years in Mexico-based marketing for tech-enabled B2B/B2SMB services, ideally launching or scaling products in a new market (go-to-market planning, positioning, first-12-month growth).
  3. End-to-end demand generation – builds and optimizes multi-channel funnels; confident with GA4, Meta/Google Ads
  4. Managers, email/CRM automation, and performance dashboards in Sheets/Excel (tracking CAC/LTV/CR/ROI).
  5. English language proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

  • Comfortable as a solo marketer in the launch phase; resilient, resourceful, and hands-on.
  • Agency and KOL management; scopes briefs, selects vendors and influencers, negotiates terms, sets KPIs, holds partners accountable
  • Ownership and bias for action; operates as a solo marketer at launch stage; organizes backlogs, meets deadlines, documents learnings
  • Stakeholder communication; clear structured updates to leadership; alignment with Ops and CS on lead quality, handoffs, and SLA improvements.

What you’ll do

  • Own Mexico GTM market mapping, positioning, launch plans, campaign execution, and post-launch analytics.
  • Find and reach our ICPs micro/small/medium businesses that import or want to import (incl. marketplace sellers). Identify where they “live” (communities, associations, events), pick channels, and stand up repeatable lead gen.
  • Run growth experiments design hypotheses, launch paid/owned/earned plays, measure CAC/LTV/CR/ROI, and iterate.
  • Manage local partners select and steer local marketing agencies/KOLs/influencers/PR you coordinate, HQ produces where needed.
  • Build the funnel with ops instrument tracking, read call/lead patterns with the Customer Support peer, and remove friction across awareness → sign-up → first shipment.
  • Local insights → product monitor competitors and buyer feedback; recommend adaptations (offers, comms, pricing nuances).
  • Events & partnerships plan meetups/webinars/trade shows and co-marketing with local partners.
  • Foundational setup help evaluate local tools (CRM/telephony basics with ops), support light office/event space scouting, and prepare for team scaling.

How we work (phase-in)

  • Close collaboration with a European lead overseeing the Mexico launch; fast test-and-learn culture.
  • Engagement model: initially B2B/contractor with a 3-month pilot, then conversion to a longer arrangement based on fit and results. (This helps de-risk while Mexico entity and office setup complete.)
  • Presence: hybrid in CDMX preferred; remote acceptable with periodic on-site time for client meetings and events.
