Customer Success & Sales | Cross-Border E-commerce Logistics |Spanish&English speaking | International Startup in Mexico

For our client International logistics group (brand operating in Europe and Asia) launching its first LATAM branch in Mexico we are searching the first customer support hire in Mexico and the frontline voice to local SMEs—from first inquiry to first shipment.

Purpose of the Role:

To provide customer support and promote the company’s services with the goal of expanding the client base in Mexico and ensuring stable operational activities of the project. You’ll turn inbound interest into satisfied, returning customers, establish SLAs and SOPs, and build the support function from zero.

What will help you succeed:

  1. Exposure to logistics/e-commerce/import processes.
  2. 3+ years in customer support / client operations for B2B or tech-enabled services in Mexico; startup or market-launch experience is a plus.
  3. Proven commercial exposure: inside sales or sales-adjacent experience (qualifying inbound leads, discovery, proposals/quotes, structured follow-ups) with measurable conversion outcomes.
  4. Proven phone/WhatsApp support with Spanish-speaking SMEs; confident handling high-intent inbound and consultative onboarding.
  5. Hands-on with CRM (HubSpot/Zoho/Pipedrive or similar), ticketing, and IP-telephony; comfortable creating SOPs and reporting.
  6. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) preferred.
  7. English language proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

Skills

  1. Proactive, ownership-driven “builder” who doesn’t wait for instructions: you spot gaps, push next steps, and move deals forward.
  2. Negotiation & basic closing skills; ability to identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities (e.g., insurance, customs brokerage, consolidation).
  3. Operational rigor: you love SLAs, queues, templates, dashboards—and you keep them tidy.
  4. Data-driven: you turn conversations into structured insights and next actions.
  5. High tolerance for routine process work; polite and professional tone in all channels; stress-resilient under peak loads.
  6. Service policy compliance: consistently meet company customer-service standards and QA routines.

What you’ll do

  1. Consult customers at all stages of the shipment process (handling phone calls and chats).
  2. Advise and sell the company’s products and services to customers.
  3. Communicate with key and new clients regarding planned promotions and special shipping conditions.
  4. Ensure compliance with the company’s customer service policy standards.
  5. Handle customer complaints and provide solutions for resolution.
  6. Calculate shipping costs upon customer requests.
  7. Control the receipt of accompanying documents required for cargo transportation; oversee preparation of shipments for dispatch.
  8. Monitor delivery and issuance of shipments.
  9. Control invoice payments and receivables from assigned clients.
  10. Communicate with related departments on matters related to delivery, purchase, and provision of other services (Warehouse, Meest Shop, Marketing, Launch Team, IT, Logistics, etc.).
  11. Analyze and provide suggestions to improve customer service processes, automation, and workflow optimization.
  12. Prepare necessary reports upon manager’s request.
